Christmas Day

Oklahoma received 14 inches of snow on Christmas Eve with blizzard like conditions for most of the day.  Had plans to drive on Friday to Newkirk however the conditions were just too risky on running off the road.  Sophie enjoyed her first Christmas as she gets closer to being five months old.
She can now roll over to her tummy.  She is sleeping better at night now that she is getting formula and cereal.

3 month milestone

Our little girl is growing up fast.  She tolerated her halloween costume well-she was a ladybug (thanks Darlene).  Daycare is going well and she has already had her first cold.  We moved her from her cradle to her crib and she is starting to sleep longer at night thank goodness!  She has been able to wiggle around in her crib and is usually sideways when she wakes up.  The pacifier and swing are her best friends and she loves to look at lights (like on TV).

Sophie First Halloween Adventure

Sophie Update at two and half months.

Lisha started taking sophie to daycare this week to get her used to the new kids and teachers. She is doing well mixing with her teacher and the other kids. Lisha will be starting back to work next week full time. Sophie also received her first set of shots two weeks ago and she did have that normal soreness the next day. We are noticing that she is using her hands more to hold onto clothes and objects. Her focus on people is more longer as she does smile a lot.

One Month Milestone

Sophie turned a month old on September 3rd and was pleasantly surprised to see her gain two pounds and nearly two inches.  She has been having issues with colic in the evenings luckily it only lasts three hours. We are seeing that she is more alert and looking around in her new environment. She is also grabbing her hair or clothes when she is being held. We took her with us to Red River NM for a couple of days. She did fantastic riding in the car for the day and we did the frequent stops of feeding and changing diapers.

End of August

We were happy to celebrate Sophie three weeks at home. On her last visit she gained up to seven pounds and is due for another visit in one week. It appears that the nights are getting better as she is sleeping up to five hours between feedings.
